It seems almost cruel to say that I enjoy treating anxiety & stress the most, but the difference I can help people make in their lives, in such a short space of time, is probably why they are my most satisfying treatments, and also why so many people ask for my help with it.

The word 'stress' describes the feelings you experience when the mental or physical demands made on you are bigger than your ability to cope with them. You feel overloaded, and this leads to tension and emotional outbursts. Stress affects everyone, young and old and is a completely normal reaction that we all have when faced with situations that put us under pressure. But when it reaches a level where you feel you have lost control of it, the anxiety can start to creep in and it's very distressing to both you, and others around you. You can feel wired but tired, rundown, sleep can suffer, and to make matters worse, long term stress and anxiety, left untreated can lead to some negative health effects including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and also depression & panic attacks.

It's a thoroughly miserable time for everyone involved, but one that can be fixed. Once you have reached this situation you need to mentally re-learn to relax and assess situations instead of simply reacting to them. If you haven't already, make sure you read Why It Works to get a little insite in how I can do this with you.

It's not necessarily about removing the causes of stress - because while this is useful if you can, sometimes we have no control over them. It's actually about changing the way we respond to those stressful situations, and this is an emotional change, not a physical one.

There are a million different reasons why you may feel overwhelmed with stress & anxiety (or even don't think you have any reason for why you feel like you do), and the treatment I offer will be different depending on those circumstances, which is why I offer a free intial consulation either in person or by phone or Skype/Facetime. (skype/facetime can be very useful for an initial contact when dealing with anxiety and stress, as I fully understand when anxiety takes hold, some people may find it hard to even leave the house!)

Having suffered GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) for most of my early adult life, I'll be treating you with a massive dollop of 'I get it' thrown in there.

Regardless of why you are suffering with stress & anxiety, I can help you regain control quickly. You'll be in control of your stress not only now, but you will change the way you perceive anxiety & stress situations, ensuring you have everything you need to deal with periods of stress in the future.

Visit the Contact Me page to get a half hour free consultation, or book an appointment if you are ready to regain control now.
